Dive Grenada - TripAdvisor Report July 2013

5 of 5 starsReviewed July 20, 2013 NEW
You know your favorite local dive shop? The one you have been diving with for years? You walk in, and everyone greets you by name. They put you in your favorite spot on the boat, and take extra special care of you? That is how Dive Grenada treated me on my very first dive with them. Every single detail was thought of and taken care of. Dive Grenada is the model on which other dive shops should build themselves. I absolutely cannot find fault with Dive Grenada. All the staff are excellent - they are knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful at all times.

I am an Underwater Photographer and at all times my camera was well handled by all staff. The divemasters were excellent at finding everything I said I wanted to see and were extremely patient, waiting as I took shot after shot. The boat captain was there with water, juice and cookies after every dive and even ensured that my sunglasses were handed to me before I even thought about needing them. The attention to detail is what makes this dive shop stand out. Phil and Helen are experts at customer service and have trained all their staff exceptionally well.

Thank you for an outstanding experience - I cannot wait to dive with you again!

Thanks to Laura King for being so nice to us, hope to see you diving very soon.

Dive Grenada's Boat looking Good!

Dive Grenada's custom built dive boat 'DG2' has been to the dry dock for her annual 'Spa Treatment'which included a full 'anti fouling' treatment for below the waterline and her hull buffed up and waxed. Most importantly we have invested in a very ergonomic ladder that works like a step ladder with hand rails. We have increased the angle of the ladder so its position makes for very easy entry and egress to the boat. This is great for divers and snorkelers in Grenada that find the vertical ladders of other dive boats a real challenge, especially in choppy seas.Dive Grenada is proud to be investing in its business for the future and want to welcome all new divers to visit Grenada and see how good our Scuba Diving is here. Rare Nudibranch Sighting with Dive Grenada

Scuba Diving with Dive Grenada produced a very rare Nudibranch called Flabellina Dushia. This very beautiful and rare creature was found on one of our very popular shipwrecks in Grenada called the Veronica L. This Nudibranch is so rare that it doesn't even have a common name. This is why I love diving in Grenada, you never know what treasures of the marine world you might see..............How Cool! For more information about diving in Grenada go to: www.divegrenada.com

Underwater Cleanup 2011

On Friday September 30th 2011, Dive Grenada joined forces with a student led group of St George’s University students (ECO – Education. Conservation. Outreach) and organized an underwater clean up as part of the Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Clean Up. The Clean up took place in Dragon Bay, part of Grenada’s Marine Protected Area and showed that not even ‘Protected Areas’ are protected from human derived pollution. Participants included four divers (from both ECO and Dive Grenada), 3 snorkelers (from ECO) and 3 other ECO members. Items of garbage collected including plastic bags and bottles, toys, wrappings, tin cans and beverages, shoes and clothing and even a tire! The most prevalent item were the tin cans and beverages which show that everything on the land ends up in the ocean! The data collected from the cleanup will be recorded and sent to the Ocean Conservancy to be compiled into the International Report for 2011.
